Carrots and feathers

These carrots were grown in the allotment behind our flat in Stockwell. They're tiny and strange, reaching through black soil.

Sometimes the only way to cover a massive ink spot, is to add more ink spots. Dip pen gives great lines but is difficult to master as a left hander, eventually I figured out I could only get a line when pulled downwards right to left.

Common pigeon feathers, first layering ink with a brush then adding detail with the dip pen on top.
