Discovering the galleries of Paris opened up a whole new world of art. I am quite familiar with all the main galleries of London (although I could never tire of them) to discover a whole new city of art was like a gift. Whilst it was a quick trip, I plan to return as soon as possible, armed with a list of galleries to visit. Musee d'Orsay was a revelation, housed in an old railway station and flooded with light and shining gold ceilings. I only had a short time to draw there and these sketches represent only the start of my explorations.
