Developing Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England

 

I am so excited and happy to say that I have been awarded a Developing Your Creative Practice grant by Arts Council England.

It is the gift of time (a year) and financial support to:

make / question / draw / follow what I find interesting / create installations binding space / expand / explore in real depth / learn / use my voice / have conversations about important things we think about but don't often express. 

I will be exploring themes of editing memory and continuity of identity, a development from my previous project Future Selves. This will be through a series of conversations accompanied by drawings and portrait photographs. I am going to build on my skills in analogue photography and create a darkroom at home, to enable me to embed photography in my practice. 

I'm excited to see what this year brings and where this period of exploration will take me. Huge thanks to ACE and the people who supported me to apply.
